Getting Figgy with It: Spicy Fig Garlic Air Fryer Wings

I have to write it and say it from the rooftops. I love my air fryer.

Ingredients:

pounds chicken wingettes and drumettes

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/2 cup fig jam

2 tablespoons light brown sugar

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1 to 2 teaspoons sriracha

3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle wings with salt and pepper.

  2. Set air fryer

  3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring, until the garlic is golden, 1 to 2 minutes. Add the fig jam, sugar, soy sauce and sriracha and bring to a simmer. Pour the sauce into a large bowl.

  4. When the wings are ready, use tongs to add them to the bowl with the sauce and toss to coat. Sprinkle with the chives.
