Fast Prep Meals: The Best BBQ shrimp you'll ever have

This go to recipe is courtesy of the husband. I liked it to New Orleans style BBQ shrimp with a little zest. It's fast and easy and you can do it on the grill in a cast iron skillet or in your oven on a high temp. Serve with some crusty bread and a salad and dinner is finished in no time. Perfect for the summer days when no one wants to be standing over a hot stove...What are your favorite go to fast recipes?

Ingredients:

1-2 pounds of shrimp, deveined (can be peeled or unpeeled, I prefer unpeeled to lock in flavor)

2 cups cup of Soy sauce 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup of olive oil

2 tsp red pepper flakes

1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce

4 cloves of minced garlic

2 tsb ginger

salt and pepper to taste

sliced lemon (about a half of a lemon)

Directions:

1. Marinated shrimp for 1 hour in a bowl of the combined ingredients soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and ginger

2. Drained marinade on shrimp

3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper

4. Lay them nicely in a cast iron skillet and place sliced lemons on top

5. Smoke them for 30 minutes at 275 degrees using apple wood chips in your grill or place in oven on high broiler setting for 8 minutes or until shrimp turns pink
