The Elf Has Returned

In our house as I stated in other posts we love the holidays and all that it entails. I'm talking all in if we can decorate it, bake it, bedazzle it or find some other way to commercialize it all in for a holiday. And nothing says that more during our Christmas time celebrations than our Elf, otherwise known as Markle the Elf (our oldest came up with the name). Markle makes his arrival on December 1 every year keeping a watch on the kiddies and making their behaving for Santa and mommy and daddy get to come up with 25 creative ways to entertain spoken preschooler all the while remembering to put the elf away at some point during the day so your kid doesn’t completely lose it (note: elves go away every night to the north pole and come back every morning and no one may touch the elf or else it will lose it’s magic...you can see how this can get overwhelming right, make sure you keep up). It’s as if I was looking for another reason to stress over the holidays when one thought to start this tradition lol, but the smile our son has every morning looking for his elf and what antics it has gotten into makes it all worthwhile. And he won’t be this age and this magical and gullible for long so momma is going to milk it for all its worth. With that said a Pinterest is a god send (we’ll discuss that further in another blog post).

What memories/ traditions do you enjoy invoking during the holidays?
